Founder and Chief Functionary of OfERR S.C.Chandrahasan wishing the Honourable Chief Minister Kalaignar.Karunanidhi on the occasion of his 86th birthday. Mr.Chandrahasan expressed thanks on behalf of the Tamils to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for his undying support to the Sri Lanka Lankan Tamil Refugees over the 30 years.
Kalaignar. Karunanidhi’s Government has always supported the humanitarian cause and been a great source of strength and protection by providing the 75,000 refugees Education, Humanitarian assistance and Shelter.

Mr.S.C.Chandrahasan, Founder and Chief Functionary in a meeting with Mr.Thangabalu, President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.
During the course of the conversation S.C.Chandrahasan thanked the Congress Party for its support to the innocent Tamils caught in the midst of the fighting between the LTTE and Sri Lankan Government. He thanked them for continuing to help the Tamil people by championing a peaceful settlement to the conflict an effort which was begun by their Leader and former Prime Minister Shri.Rajiv Gandhi.
He praised the magnanimous gesture by the Congress President Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and the Honourable Prime Minister Mr.Manmohan Singh for the Indian Government’s generous contribution towards the rehabilitation of the IDPs and reconstruction of the North and East.

On 30th May, Mr.S.C.Chandrahasan met with Dr.M.S. Swaminathan, Founder, of Swaminathan Foundation to learn about the initiative between the Indian Government & Swaminathan Foundation towards plans for Sustainable development in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka that would help the people to return to their livelihoods and revive their economic independency.
